In 2023, Netflix will release a live-action One Piece series

Netflix has confirmed that it will stream its live-action adaptation of One Piece in 2023. That is all we know at this point; Although Netflix displayed a brand-new poster for its adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s acclaimed pirate manga and anime, the company did not specify a specific release date.

The showrunners Matt Owens and Steven Maeda will be in charge of the adaptation, which was first announced in 2020. Iaki Godoy plays Luffy (whose back you can see in the new poster), Mackenyu plays Zoro, Emily Rudd plays Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson plays Usopp, and Taz Skylar plays Sanji. Even though we haven’t seen the show in action yet, Netflix showed us some of the impressive One Piece sets from behind the scenes last year.

One Piece Odyssey, a new video game adaptation of the franchise, was released earlier this year.

The Netflix live-action anime adaptations of Death Note and Cowboy Bebop, both of which were canceled after just one season, are followed by One Piece.
